A 100 metre roll of Lens Tissue.
A lightweight, non buffered, pH6, sulphur free tissue. Base weight of 9.3 gsm. Long fibred tissue, made from 100% manilla fibres. Hemi-cellulose content, less than 5%. Ash content 0.4%.
Suitable for conservation interleaving and wrapping. Also used as a repair material or for backing delicate items such as maps and documents.
It has excellent wet strength properties.
This is sometimes referred to as Spider Tissue.
