Dates: 18th-22nd May 2026 - (5 days)
A mandatory assignment for the C&G Level 3 curriculum.
Fine leather binding involves the traditional method of attaching the boards to the sewing cords or tapes and drawing the leather over the spine to cover. You will learn to sew handsewn silk headbands, lace boards on to sewing tapes/cords, cover a book in full leather by drawing it on, form headcaps, trim and put endpapers down. Students should have at least completed the equivalent of Level 2 Bookbinding Unit.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
We must be informed of any cancellations at least two weeks prior to the commencement of the course. If we are not informed in this time, a £50.00 administration charge will be levied up to 48 hours before the commencement of the course. After this time no refunds will be given. Whilst every effort is made to avoid cancellation or postponement of courses. Shepherds Bookbinders Ltd reserve the right to cancel or postpone a course, and will endeavour to give at least 5 working days' notice before the start date. In these circumstances a full refund will be made, but we cannot be held responsible for any consequential loss.
