Dates: May 6th-8th 2026 (Wed-Fri) 3 Days
A mandatory assignment in the C&G Level 3 curriculum.Â
During this intensive three-day course you will learn to make three different forms of protective enclosure: a phase box, used in conservation primarily for the temporary protection of books and paper based items; a classic artist's portfolio with three inner flaps and ribbon ties for storage of flat paper works; and a lift-off lid/chocolate box for presentation purposes or the storage of non-linear items.
Some bookbinding experience is necessary.
All images shown are of students' work completed on a course (with permission).

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
We must be informed of any cancellations at least two weeks prior to the commencement of the course. If we are not informed in this time, a £50.00 administration charge will be levied up to 48 hours before the commencement of the course. After this time no refunds will be given. Whilst every effort is made to avoid cancellation or postponement of courses. Shepherds Bookbinders Ltd reserve the right to cancel or postpone a course, and will endeavour to give at least 5 working days' notice before the start date. In these circumstances a full refund will be made, but we cannot be held responsible for any consequential loss.
